Engineer radio- and communication technology

JOB TITLE

You will work independently or in teams on various projects where you will implement many different types of radio and communication technologies (HF, Tetra, DMR, LTE, 5G, private networks). This is often done in mission critical environments. Think of tunnels, ports, airports, etc.

 

 

What exactly does this work involve?

  • Configuring radio & network equipment.
  • Performing maintenance on existing networks and equipment of SAIT.
  • Drafting reports as a result of work carried out.
  • Investigating and resolving any disruptions.
  • On-call duty (rotating with colleagues a few times a year).

FUNCTION REQUIREMENTS

  • You have a hands-on mentality and a positive mindset.
  • You have affinity with radio equipment and radio communication networks.
  • You have knowledge of or experience with one of the following specialisms: o Radio & Antenna Technology DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems)
    o Knowledge of IT environments
    o GSM / LTE (4G/5G)
    o NB-IoT/LoRa
    o TETRA
    o Dispatching systems (control rooms)
    o Portofonie (Digital Mobile Radio)
    o Personal locator systems (PZI)
    o PTT (Push To Talk) over cellular

You have completed at least MBO level 4 in electrical engineering and are in possession of a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one. Affinity with IT environments (Windows and Linux) and network environments is an advantage. A proactive attitude and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
