Tunnel
Tunnel HF systems

There are around 100 road tunnels in the Netherlands. Few realise that these objects are fitted with systems for coverage of C2000, FM and DAB, allowing emergency services to continue communicating and emergency messages to be heard in your vehicle via FM or DAB.
SAIT has been designing, realising and managing these systems for over 25 years. We are therefore “tried and tested” and proud that the lion’s share of tunnels are equipped with our indoor coverage system.
National Tunnel Standard
From the initial design (and renovation) of infrastructural objects, we integrate our design for the HF system. In doing so, the design complies with current requirements, such as the National Tunnel Standard (LTS).
Participation/break-in
The systems realised by SAIT provide indoor coverage of C2000, FM and DAB. They also provide voice (break-in) on FM and DAB. This allows emergency messages to be broadcast to tunnel users.
Redundancy and monitoring
The systems will be redundantly designed and equipped with various monitoring including cable monitoring. This ensures the highest possible system availability so that tunnel closures due to system failures do not occur.
Distribute other signals?
Our tunnel coverage systems also regularly distribute other signals. In tunnels, we often distribute signals for object communication, for example, using walkie-talkies. Just indicate your wishes in that area. It doesn’t get too crazy for us any time soon!
Third-party system?
We do not only maintain systems we have realised ourselves. Existing systems can also come into SBO after a (technical) inventory, which allows us to ensure that the installation meets current requirements and can be maintained “as it should”.
